Michelle and Nicole got engaged on the beach and we’re married on a beautiful summer day, near the water, with their family and friends at Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort on Sunday, July 21, 2019. Family and friends witnessed their sweet union traveling from Japan, Israel, New Jersey, Oregon, and around the country coming together to wish the ladies well. It was our pleasure to be invited by Michelle and Nicole to do their wedding photography. Rich and I really enjoyed their wedding and we wish them much happiness. When winter arrives at the Skagit Valley, Bald and Golden Eagles, Canadian Snow Geese, Hawks, and other bird of prey feast on fish, worms, mice, and more at the barren fields that lay in waiting for spring planting. Nieves and Chad Wright had their precious baby Amelia just a couple of weeks ago. Our photo shoot was done indoors in the comfort of a bedroom and we did a few shots outside under the pretty Autumn red maple trees. Baby Amelia is very photogenic and is so adorable! We loved seeing Nieves and Chad again — we did their wedding photography two years ago. It was wonderful to meet little Amelia and to take some of her first family photos with mom and dad. Congratulations! You just got engaged and would like to work with one photographer who can do your engagement photos and your wedding photography. But how do you choose a photographer when there are so many portrait and wedding photographers to pick from?
Do a Google search for photographers in your area. Review the photographers work on their website and Social Media pages. Look at their reviews. Ask yourself, do you like their photography style and the variety of work they advertise? Can you visualize spending time with the photographer, getting along with the photographer, and being comfortable with them for the photo session? Does the photographer advertise they can do both engagement and wedding photography?
Next, contact the photographer and schedule a time to chat and meet them in person. Ask a lot of questions and build a relationship with the photographer. There are many qualified and talented photographers in the market place; however, by doing a little homework and setting aside some time to get to know the photographer, you will gain great confidence that he/she will do a fantastic job for you. The results will show in the service they provide and beautiful natural photographs showing you and yours at your best!
