What’s not to love about Valentines Day: candy, flowers, jewelry, stuffed animals, a lovely romantic dinner for two at a restaurant, a couples romantic weekend getaway, champagne, a wedding engagement proposal, and a Valentine’s Day wedding! Did you know the history of St. Valentine is open for interpretation. The holiday, from ancient Rome, is the festival of Lupercalia. Stories about St. Valentine vary from saying a priest took many wives against the Catholic Church and indulged in gratification and orgies; or Saint Valentine defied the emperors wishes and secretly married couples; and Cupid, the Roman God of Love and hearts is the heart of emotion. Whatever stories you choose to believe, today, on February 14, around the world, people celebrate Valentines Day with the one you love. Lots of fun, brides, grooms, and wedding fashion shows at the Kitsap Wedding Expo 2019

On Saturday, February 2, 2019, excited #brides, #grooms, family and friends we’re greeted with BIG smiles at the door for the Kitsap Wedding Expo 2019, held at the Kitsap Sun Pavilion, Kitsap County Fairgrounds, Bremerton, Washington, produced by Sunny Jack Events and sponsored by The Point Casino and Market Fresh, with photos taken by Jolly Sienda Photography. The day included two wedding fashion shows with clothing from American Rose Bridal and commentary by DJ Z Entertainment.

Congratulations! You just got engaged and would like to work with one photographer who can do your engagement photos and your wedding photography. But how do you choose a photographer when there are so many portrait and wedding photographers to pick from?

Do a Google search for photographers in your area. Review the photographers work on their website and Social Media pages. Look at their reviews. Ask yourself, do you like their photography style and the variety of work they advertise? Can you visualize spending time with the photographer, getting along with the photographer, and being comfortable with them for the photo session? Does the photographer advertise they can do both engagement and wedding photography?  

Next, contact the photographer and schedule a time to chat and meet them in person. Ask a lot of questions and build a relationship with the photographer. There are many qualified and talented photographers in the market place; however, by doing a little homework and setting aside some time to get to know the photographer, you will gain great confidence that he/she will do a fantastic job for you. The results will show in the service they provide and beautiful natural photographs showing you and yours at your best!
